Creator Agreement

Last updated: March 14, 2026

This Creator Agreement ("Agreement") supplements the Terms of Service and applies when you enable monetization on Aria. By enabling monetization, you agree to both the Terms of Service and this Agreement.

1. Eligibility

To monetize on Aria, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a verified Aria account
  • Provide a valid government-issued photo ID for identity verification
  • Submit applicable tax documentation (W-9 for U.S. residents, W-8BEN for international creators)
  • Maintain an account in good standing with no active suspensions

2. Earnings Split

Aria will apply a flat earnings split to all subscription earnings. The specific percentage split will be published on the Pricing page and communicated to all creators before monetization is enabled.

There will be no tiers, no conditions, and no volume-based adjustments. The split will apply equally to all creators regardless of subscriber count or total earnings.

3. Subscription Pricing

  • Creators set their own subscription price within a range to be determined when the monetization program launches
  • You may change your subscription price at any time; changes take effect at the start of each subscriber's next billing cycle
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through web checkout, which avoids app store in-app purchase commissions

4. Earnings & Payments

  • Earnings are paid out on a regular schedule. The payout frequency and method will be announced when the monetization program launches.
  • There is no minimum deposit threshold — all earnings are paid out on schedule
  • Earnings are paid out even after account termination (see Section 11)

5. Auto-Pause

If you do not go live for 30 consecutive days, Aria will automatically pause subscription billing for your subscribers. Billing resumes when you go live again. Subscribers are notified when billing is paused and resumed.

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all audio content, session topics, and creative works you share on Aria. By using the Service, you grant Aria a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit, process, store, and display your content as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., streaming audio, generating AI summaries, providing replay access to subscribers).

This license terminates when you delete your content or your account. Aria does not claim ownership of creator content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to operating the Service.

7. Creator Obligations

As a monetizing creator, you agree to:

  • Comply with the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Own or have proper licenses for all content you share (including music)
  • Set appropriate content warnings for sessions that may contain mature themes
  • Respond to subscriber inquiries in a timely manner
  • Not engage in deceptive practices (fake subscriber counts, misleading session descriptions, etc.)

8. Moderation and Enforcement

Creator accounts are subject to the same Community Guidelines enforcement tiers as all users, with additional creator-specific consequences:

  • Suspension: During any account suspension, subscription billing is paused. Subscribers retain access to existing recordings but cannot join live sessions.
  • Termination: Upon account termination, all active sessions are ended, subscribers are refunded for the remaining billing period, and recordings are removed.

9. Tax Compliance

  • U.S. creators: Aria will issue IRS Form 1099-NEC or 1099-K for creators who earn $600 or more in a calendar year, as required by applicable tax law
  • International creators: Tax withholding may apply based on your country of residence and applicable tax treaties. You are responsible for providing accurate W-8BEN documentation.
  • You are solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes on your Aria earnings in your jurisdiction

10. Policy Changes

  • Policy changes (guidelines, moderation, features): 30-day advance notice via email and in-app notification
  • Economic changes (earnings split, pricing range, deposit schedule): 60-day advance notice via email and in-app notification

Continued use of monetization features after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Termination

  • By you: You may disable monetization at any time through Profile → Settings → Monetization. Existing subscribers will retain access through the end of their current billing period.
  • By Aria: We may terminate your monetization privileges for violations of this Agreement, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines.
  • Earnings on termination: All outstanding earnings are paid out within 30 days of termination, regardless of the reason for termination.
